| A Guide to Luton Airport
Luton Airport is becoming busier and busier by the day, so
we felt it was necessary to give a brief description of Luton
Airports amenities. Luton Airport boasts a wide range of facilities,
including various shops, restaurants and coffee bars, a chaplaincy,
a children's play area, and obviously airport parking facilities.
Shops, Restaurants and Coffee Bars - Luton Airport
offers an extensive range of shopping facilities. Which provides
a great way to pass the time before a long flight, its also
handy if you have forgotten something you need for your holiday,
like swimming wear or sun tan lotion for example. Ann Summers,
Boots, The Body Shop, Dixons, a Salisburys and a Sunglass
Hut are just a few of the shops on offer.
There is also a diverse range of restaurants and cafes to
have a quick snack or a relaxing meal at. The restaurants
on offer include Burger King, Whistlestop, Altitude Café,
and a Millies. Available in the check-in area or the departures
area.
The Chaplaincy - Luton Airports chapel has seating
for thirty people and was opened in the year 2000. The Chapel
is open everyday from 5am until 11pm. The current reverend
is Michael Banfield, who works with a team of volunteer assistant
chaplains to share the love of God with passenger, staff and
visitors to the airport.
The chapel is located in the departures area, access to which
is at the bus and coach drop zone. The chaplaincy also offers
support to anyone in need and can accommodate groups of any
faith. The chaplain himself is in the office 9am to until
5pm most days, however is available when needed at any time.
The Childrens Play Area - The childrens play area
is available in the departures area, and is sponsored by Airtours.
The play area provides entertainment for your children while
they wait, Airports can sometimes be a difficult place for
children on long waits. The play area is equipped with toys
suitable for 2 to 8 year olds. Luton Airport kindly requests
that children are supervised by and Adult while the use the
facility.
